Chuck Hall was born in Louisiana and raised on the Texas side in a very music-oriented
family. His mother was (and still is at the young age of 90!) a classical pianist and
teacher, and his father owned an extensive jazz collection which, along with the local
Delta roots Blues on the radio, kept the house constantly alive with an eclectic mix of
music that formed Chuck’s perception of music that still inspires him to this day.
Arriving in the Valley of the Sun in 1984, Chuck immediately won the hearts and ears of
the Arizona music scene. Local clubs were jammed with music aficionados rockin’ to the
sounds of his electrifying lead guitar, from Texas Red & The Hartbreakers to the
legendary Chuck Hall & The Brick Wall, and most currently The Chuck Hall Band. His
multiple awards include “Best Blues Guitarist” in Arizona, “Best Song” by Soundboard
Magazine, and in 2000 his induction into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame. He and his
bands have toured with Robert Cray and opened shows for B.B. King, Albert Collins,
Johnny Winter, Albert King, Willie Dixon, Gregg Allman, the Fabulous Thunderbirds, Los
Lobos and many others.
